Hi
First of all, so sorry for my English, I'm still learning
I'm trying to create a bin file for my 350 slingbox.
I have a STB/satellite brand: Freei, Model: Petra. This type of STB is not worldwide known, so I don't think that there is a file in Logitech database.
I found some ir codes in this webpage global cache control tower.
this was the outcome
Freei Petra Hybrid Satellite/Freeview Receiver Set #6220
function, code1, hexcode1, code2, hexcode2
"CHANNELDOWN", "sendir, 1:1, 1, 38000, 1, 69, 342, 171, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 64, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 64, 21, 21, 21, 64, 21, 21, 21, 64, 21, 64, 21, 64, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 64, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 64, 21, 64, 21, 64, 21, 1788, 342, 85, 21, 3665", "0000 006D 0022 0002 0156 00AB 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 06FC 0156 0055 0015 0E51", ,

And the list goes on...
I read something here in the forum, and I imported de hexcode to IRscope, then I created the file in remote master app. I used the PL format and exported as BIN file, then I tried in the slingbox but didn't work (I don't want to be that guy)

1. What model Slingbox do you have? I have slingbox 350

2. Was there any error message after you typed in the Code and tapped the Test button (or selected the file and tapped 'Continue' on the M1 & M2)? Mmm, I had to try twice, but that happened with every single bin file that I uploaded, so for me is normal.

3. Did you give the commands plenty of time to react? (I have a DVR that takes about 6-8 seconds to power up/down). Yes and I tried all buttons

4. If you are using a Solo did you try both BIN files? No solo

5. After completing the setup do any of the buttons work? None of them

6. If you are installing on a Solo or Pro-HD or older box that uses an external IR Blaster, have you used a Digital Camera or Mobile Phone Camera to confirm the IR Blaster is actually firing when you tap the Power button? (Watch the tip of the IR Blaster through the viewfinder while you tap a button. You should see a white (not red) flash. Test it on a real remote so you know what you are looking for). If you are using a 350/500/M1/M2 have you tried using the external blaster? No, I didn't try the external blaster because I tried without it and it works (I tried with the apple tv and without the blaster and worked perfectly)

7. Have you experimented with the placement of the IR Blaster? On some devices this is critical so don't give up too quickly. Try shining a flashlight at the front of the receiver and see if you can see the IR receiver behind the smoked glass. I will do it

8. Are you sure the device is working correctly using the real remote? Yes, is working fine

9. Are you sure your device is set to use IR ? Many boxes can operate on RF or IR and if it is set to RF then the Slingbox will not affect it. I think so, it uses the normal remote control

10. If you have a device that supports multiple remote addresses (DirecTV, Dish Network, Tivo...) are you sure the remote address is set to the default ? yes

11. Have you tried resetting the Slingbox. ? This has been found to help. Yes, didn't work

12. Do you have access to a Logitech Harmony Universal Remote? If so let me know. No, I don't have access.

I read many manuals but I'm not sure of many things, especially with the IRscope, in the Device column appears 64.64, and I tried in the remote master with device 64 and subdevice 0, and also with the device 64 and subdevice 64, nothing worked at all.
And also I'm not sure if the codes in the global cache control tower are fine or not.
Any advice could help me.
Thank you for reading it!

The three learned signals that you posted show NEC1 device 64, sub-device 64, and the OBCs for CH+ and CH- are 28 and 29 respectively. (You also posted ARROW_DOWN, but that also showed OBC 29, so it's the same as CH-).

We have several files for SAT STBs that use NEC1 64.64. Randomly checking RM files to see if any of them use those OBCs for CH+/- I found the Qviart Undro that matches.

Here's the bin file that that one, give it a try:

Thank you Robman! worked perfectly
Still I want to learn how to create the bin file, but now I can test it without presure and also I can "explore" the file that works.
Thanks to all those who create manuals.

Step 1 in creating a bin file is creating an RMDU file. Chances are we already have RMDU files for most devices, but if you have a new device that we don't have, we'll need learned signals, like the ones you posted.

Once you've got an RMDU file, it's really simple from there:
1. Change the selected remote to "Slingbox with UEI RV chip" (or PL chip if that's what you need)
2. Customize the button layout to suit your needs on the Buttons tab
3. Select Advanced (from the menu bar) and then "Export binary upgrade"

I did it!
Thank you Robman, I was able to create a new file and also edit the one that you sent me.
Just a couple of questions
1) how/where did you find the qviart undro? Or where did you check randomly RM files? Can I do it too?
2) this webpage https://irdb.globalcache.com/ is reliable? (I got the hexcodes that I posted before from that web).

Cool

You're welcome.

We have a master file of all the upgrades that people have loaded (as of 2017), so once I got the protocol and device codes from the 3 samples that you posted, I used that spreadsheet to show me other upgrades that use the same protocol and device codes, then I used the links in the spreadsheet to download the upgrades until I found one that used the same OBCs for those 3 buttons as your samples.

As far as I know it is.

They store their codes as raw signals, either as Pronto Hex or (essentially equivalent) their own "sendir" format. So there are some "dirty learns" and some learns that are simply wrong there. So it is a good idea to "clean" then, or better, to decode them (for example with IrScrutinizer).

Having said that, the bad signals are really quite rare. Another plus point is that it is sorted after device manufacturers and models, not set numbers (TV 1234 etc).

And I am really sad that they do not allow API-downloads for the free accounts... Crying or Very sad (That is why the support in IrScrutinizer is so incomplete.)
