I have a Yamaha HT, and have created a macro on my RS 15-2116 to turn it and the tv on, and go to a certain channel. Is there a way to also set the volume level when the system turns on? Currently the volume is set at the level it was left at the last time it was turned off.
Thanks, |

That's not something we could dream up on this end (ie, the remote end) it would have to be something supported by the device itself. In other words, you would need a discrete code that sets the device to a certain volume level, and I doubt that such a code exists.
The best you could do from this end is include enough VOL- commands so you can be certain that the volume is all the way down, then include enough VOL+ commands to get it to the level you want, but I doubt that 15 macro steps are enough for that.
I guess we could write a special protocol that you send as many VOL- or VOL+ commands as you need, if this sounds like an approach that you want to follow, but remember, the macro is still going to take a while to complete with all that volume changing. _________________ Rob

YEs, that is what I was afraid of, that it will take up a lot of memory AND time... I thought that perhaps there are discrete codes to do that. Oh well...
Thanks. |
