Looks like you are well on your way. The box you are using uses a Nec1 Device 1 protocol.
Each function has an OBC. I'm not sure if I opened the same device upgrades as you did, because I didn't find some of the buttons in the upgrade I was using.
There are 256 Obc's (0-255) that can be used with a nec1 protocol.
You are well on your way to creating an upgrade.

Try testing the following file, it contains all the missing OBCs:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=14542
How do you change channels or adjust the volume using the iView remote? I ask because, I don't see VOL or CH buttons on the remote but you included some VOL and CH buttons in your test results. _________________ Rob

Wow, sorry, I looked again at the pist at the top. The instructionslink took me to what I thought was the very same post, but turns out this one has the link to the placeshifter page, so here's the answers.
1. What model Slingbox do you have?
Slingbox Pro
2. Was there any error message after you typed in the Code and tapped the Test button (or selected the file and tapped ‘Continue’ on the M1 & M2)?
Sometimes I get remote download failed but s retry fixes that. Other times Sling desktop hangs and I have to Xit and then go back in again.
3. Did you give the commands plenty of time to react? (I have a DVR that takes about 6-8 seconds to power up/down)
Yes.
4. If you are using a Solo did you try both BIN files?
N/A
5. After completing the setup do any of the buttons work?
As per posts.
6. If you are installing on a Solo or Pro-HD or older box that uses an external IR Blaster, have you used a Digital Camera or Mobile Phone Camera to confirm the IR Blaster is actually firing when you tap the Power button? (Watch the tip of the IR Blaster through the viewfinder while you tap a button. You should see a white (not red) flash. Test it on a real remote so you know what you are looking for). If you are using a 350/500/M1/M2 have you tried using the external blaster?
Must be cos some buttons work.
7. Have you experimented with the placement of the IR Blaster? On some devices this is critical so don’t give up too quickly. Try shining a flashlight at the front of the receiver and see if you can see the IR receiver behind the smoked glass.
N/A
8. Are you sure the device is working correctly using the real remote?
Yes
9. Are you sure your device is set to use IR ? Many boxes can operate on RF or IR and if it is set to RF then the Slingbox will not affect it.
N/A
10. If you have a device that supports multiple remote addresses (DirecTV, Dish Network, Tivo…) are you sure the remote address is set to the default ?
N/A
11. Have you tried resetting the Slingbox. ? This has been found to help.
Yes, no difference
12. Do you have access to a Logitech Harmony Universal Remote? If so let me know. Had kameleon but when looked for it, batteries ate the contacts away.
Anyway, on Ebay, I have git a cheap manhattan hdr which you look to have already provided codes for. I'll get that up and running on my sling and then perhaps with your permission I could send the remote of the iview with a prepaid return envelope?
Thanks everyone for your help with this, don' stop if you don't want to |

I think you mis-understood what the test file was meant to do, I randomly assigned OBCs that were unaccounted for to random buttons, so your results are good because we found more buttons, even ones that aren't on the original remote. Did you test any of the custom buttons because there were codes on them too. We're still missing codes for the POWER, OK and VOL- and CH- buttons, among others. So can you try the custom buttons and maybe try some of the others again, to see if you can find the missing functions.
Here is an RMDU file with all the buttons that we've found so far. You can arrange the buttons as you see fit.

Ah Man, losing the will to live here.
Is there no way to loop through all files taking the contents of what I we have gathered already and search on 1st match, search ion 2nd match, etc etc, until we display an existing file that already has the parameters?
Or what about a way to search for the word exit in all the rmdu files and sort numerically from the codes that equate to the word exit the most, down to the codes that equate to the work exit the least, maybe the code I am looking for for "exit" is one that is already used quite a lot.
Just have Exit and Fav to go I think, but it is a slow process.

Your making your life difficult by using hex. We all use the OBC values here. I have written 45 Custom Remotes that use the NEC1 1:0 protocol but I have them listed by the Power OBC value. So if you tell me that and also the OBCs for a few more buttons:
5
9
Ch+
Arrow Down
Play
I might be able to find a match

Exit is the ony main one I have yet to get, then onto the video buttons.
as for the buttons:
Button = OBC
5 = 86
9 = 12
CH+ = 6
Arrow down = CH- = 22
Play = Unknown cos I have not gone there yet.
Thanks. |

Thanks for that.
Exit code worked a treat.
Play etc not same. Would you happen to know a remote, other than AugustInt cos already tried, with a:
record OBC code of 81
Pause OBC code of 14
Play OBC code of 56
Mabe the other buttons will be the same.
Thanks.
