I'm guessing here that your receiver is set to AV2 which is why the typical discrete commands posted for Sony receivers don't work.

Here is an explanation of how to change that to AV1.

There could be other reasons why that doesn't work for you, but to understand that we need to know some basics contained in a sticky post at the top of the messages in this forum.
