Need help with Atlas OCAP URC-1056BC01

Post by 120240VAC60HZ »

I bought a two pack of Atlas URC-1056BC01 off of eBay and I am having trouble with both of them. They work but have two slight annoying traits :)

That is I press the volume button and the CBL device key blinks twice and it is actually sending out a IR signal (I tested that theory with my camera) what is sending I don't know. How do I stop that?

Also the DVD mode does not seem to honor the global volume lock
I have the DVD button programmed to my computers IR receiver (MCE RC6) and I want the volume to control my stereo system and not the PC volume mixer

Do you have downloads from them? If so, I would suggest posting them so that maybe someone with the same remote can examine them.

I assume you mean the RMIR file? and if so which one do you need?
I have saved the original state (The way they were programmed when I received them). and I have the current state of the remote
I will post both if needed

I have a 1056B01, and it sends the Vol signal to Audio and then sends a signal using the Cable device, whether using your RMIR file or after a 981 reset. However, as it was delivered to me, it simply sends the Vol signal on the Audio device, which I assume is what you want. The difference is in the 1877 setup code. Apparently the built-in CBL 1877 setup has Device 28 OBC 60 assigned to "button" Phantom 10, and that's what the remote sends, although I don't know why.

The remote I have was delivered with an upgrade for setup code CBL 1877, and this upgrade doesn't have anything assigned to Phantom10. So try adding this upgrade to your remote. Your remote will use the upgrade in preference to the built-in 1877.

I imagine there is some way to stop this behavior (short of burning some memory with an upgrade) via some 9XX command, but I don't know.

I also see that neither DVD or VCR actually perform a volume punchthrough. You can however add keymoves to these devices so that they send the vol signals to Audio.

ThankYou! 3FG that worked along with keymoves (for the volume/mute controls).
