Hi guys,
I'm replacing my old Yamaha HTA with a new model, so need to do a control upgrade. I'm moving over from IR to RMIR in the process. Could use a bit of help building the device for the new amp especially the codes for input selection. I believe this is a popular series of home theater amps so I figure someone has probably captured these codes!

Template below:
1. Device: Yamaha RXA860
2. Type of device: Home Theater Amp
3. Year: 2015
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Atlas 3033
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section?
Yes. but I haven't found any files containing the extended codes I am looking for. I found Robs big list of Yamaha codes but I think he built that before this amp was released.
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)?
Yes. I found this thread
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/complete/thread.cgi?5641
but I did not find the files they are talking about.

9. Partially working setup code?
I have a setup that works partially. Power on, off, volume control all work. I can post my RMIR file.
10. Learning remote question?
N/A but I do have a learning remote (OFA) and if necessary I can use it to learn the codes I am after. I see in the tools area there might be some widgets useful for this purpose but I haven't dug into that yet.
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool?
Yes, but I don't think that is relevant since I have a partly working device, so the setup is okay?

I'd start with this upgrade from the file section, and only assign the functions you need.

Note the use of the NEC 4DEV Yamaha Combo executor. Newer Yamaha equipment frequently use IR codes which are not exactly NEC1.

okay, great, thanks
I mapped my number buttons to AV0-7.
all work except AV4. I might need to learn that one.

A couple of other upgrades confirm the code for AV4 is correct. Perhaps you made an error mapping it or something else is assigned to the button.

doh! I thought I needed the AV functions but the RXA860 has another set of remote buttons called HDMI1-7. I need access to those. They are not in this file. Does anyone have those codes?

OBCs for the HDMI inputs. Other parameters are the same as the AVs.

71 HDMI1 Main
72 HDMI1 Z2
73 HDMI1 Z3
74 HDMI2 Main
75 HDMI2 Z2
76 HDMI2 Z3
77 HDMI3 Main
78 HDMI3 Z2
79 HDMI3 Z3
80 HDMI4 Main
81 HDMI4 Z2
82 HDMI4 Z3
112 HDMI5 Main
113 HDMI5 Z2
114 HDMI5 Z3
115 HDMI6 Main
116 HDMI6 Z2
117 HDMI6 Z3
152 HDMI7 Main
153 HDMI7 Z2
154 HDMI7 Z3

The AV OBCs follow the same pattern for Main, Z2, Z3 (Z2=Main+1, Z3=Main+2). Z4 is 132 for AV1, 133 for AV2 and so on to 138 for AV7.

When you're done, please post your modified file with these additions and your model number.

All of the above came from the excel file in this zip:
