TRIAX THR 9800HD (Obtain 3rd-party codes available)

Post by engs »

Hello All, this is my first time on this Forum !

Please I need help : I've received the following message from slingmedia support :
As per our last conversation, we understand you would like to be able to control your set top box/decoder, however there may be 3rd-party codes available via forum websites to test with but we cannot offer a guarantee they will work as advice for unsupported devices is offered only on a best effort basis but we're unable to locate an alternative code for testing.
Someone could explain me how can I get these codes ?

Thanks a lot !

Best regards. :o

You should click on the file search link at the top of the page. If we don't have your equipment, tell us what you are looking for. Alan answers questions here and in the sling forums.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Even if you don't find what you're looking for in the file section, tell us the make and model of your STP or whatever device you wish to control and we'll let you know if we have it.

Even if we do have a file for your device, it will probably be a regular JP1 file that will need to be converted into a Slingbox bin file, and unless you wanna learn how to use our tools, you'll need one of us to do that too.

This will probably work since they appear to use the same remote per the brochure below:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=14052

Download the file and follow Alan's instructions.

Hi All !

We tried with the file from TRIAX THR 7600 on the link of mdavej, and the slingbox refuses the file .rmdu. It askes file in .bin, with a message like :"This folder is not available" if we try nevertheless.

An idea, anyone ?

Thanks ! :D

You have to convert the RMDU to a BIN file like so:

Hi.

Been keeping out of this on the 'too many cooks' principle :D But time to drop in. Don't bother with the previously recommended RMDU file, it uses different codes. Any it's much quicker for me to produce the BIN file than for you to learn how to do it.

Any good ? And please read the README file, it's important.
