Bin file for Multimedia IPS 3000
Moderator: Moderators
Al,
giw posted a link to a NEC1 48.13 IR protocol. I've uploaded a RMDU file to the Digital STB area for that MultiMedia Polska remote. If the first suggestion doesn't work, this one is probably worth a try,

Alan includes a readme text file in all of his uploads, and that readme always includes a link to his "How to Install a Custom Remote onto the Slingbox" doc, you should read that first.giw wrote:the files provided by alanrichey didn't worked.
Is this an RM message or a Slingbox message?giw wrote:I have slight issue with the rmdu file. I converted it to bin PL using RemoteMaster but the problem I have that it stuck on 'Loading remote for C1234_PL'. any ideas?

Slingbox software message. I suspect that I did something wrong while generating the bin file. The Robman wrote:Is this an RM message or a Slingbox message?giw wrote:I have slight issue with the rmdu file. Ah, but right there you just proved that you didn't read it, or you would have read the following passage:giw wrote:I had not problem with installing Alan's bin on the slingbox, it just didn't worked. The Robman wrote:Alan includes a readme text file in all of his uploads, and that readme always includes a link to his "How to Install a Custom Remote onto the Slingbox" doc, you should read that first.giw wrote:the files provided by alanrichey didn't worked.
and it then went on to ask 12 questions that would help Alan help you.If you have any problems installing these files please do NOT just report back it "doesn't work", that is totally useless for someone trying to understand what is going on. So please report all of the following:

Point taken, my mistake, apologies for that. I was trying to work this out remotely, so I couldn't follow physical check. Since it is a brand new Slingbox I just assumed that that everything will work out of the box.alanrichey wrote:So how do you know your IR is not faulty ?
Its a Slinbox M1 model with the IR blaster connected in pointed at the device. As soon as I will be able to get to the location where Slingbox is located, I will check and confirm that IR blaster is operating.
What about my other question related to the '3FG' file?

Not sure what you did, but the RMDU file needed fairly major surgery to make it Slingbox compatible, I've built a remote for it at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=14164
any better ?

It looks I've been doing something work while trying to create bin files.
Thank you 3FG for providing RMDU file.

The RMDU file was designed around an RCA Remote. so when you switched the Remote to the Slingbox PL all the mapping would have gone adrift and needed rebuilding. It was also built using the code 1234, which meant the Slingbox was trying to retrieve the image associated with that code, and maybe that wasn't available. as you can see 2010 uses the default image and it no problem finding that.giw wrote:It looks I've been doing something work while trying to create bin files.
