I have used a Pronto Remote to learn the IR codes for each button my STB, but I cant figure out how to convert the Hex info and create a file for the slingbox.
I have read the tutorials and downloaded Remotemaster and IRTool.
Could you give me a hint where to go from there.

Thank you & Regards,

F

IRScrutinizer is the better tool. If you "Paste and Scrutinize" each code, you'll see that the first one is NEC1, Device 2, OBC 81, the second OBC 89, and so on. Enter these into a new upgrade in Remote Master (pick NEC1 from the protocol dropdown on the first tab, enter 2 in the Device box). On the functions tab, enter 81 in the OBC column for Vol Up. Repeat for all functions on the functions tab, adding New ones or changing function names as needed. On the first tab, pick the appropriate Slingbox in the remote model dropdown. Finally drag and drop each function to the appropriate remote button on the Layout tab. Auto Assign should map most of them automatically.

Please Upload your complete file when you're done so others can benefit:

Is your STB a Ferguson FK-6900 CR STB? Because the codes match almost exactly:

It's a Ferguson Ariva 250 Satellite / Terrestrial Combo (European).
Maybe I should try the FK-6900 CR STB before I re-ivent the wheel. Is it listed as a Slingbox option ?

Thank you. I have tried the ferguson FK-7000 option which I have found on my Slingbox and most buttons work. The Channel Down button does not work and so I have started my way through IRScrutinizer in an attempt to make my own file. When I attempt to analyse the Channel Down button signal (900A 006D 0000 0001 02FD 00FF), the program returns
Decode IR ...protocol = NEC1, device = 2, obc = 0
AnalyzeIR....Analyzer result unavailable
Is this button using an unrecognised format and can I do anything to replicate It ??

Thank you again and Regards, F

OBC 0 is the correct code according to both your posted codes and the upgrade Rob posted, which is perfectly valid and definitely recognized just fine. No reason it shouldn't work.

Try learning it again and see if you get a different result.

To save you having to Scrutinize each button, here's an IR file with all those codes added:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=14048

If you had checked the file section first, you would see that we already have a file for a Ferguson Ariva 150 Combo, which uses NEC1 dev 2, just like your learns:

Here's the bin file
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=12894

Here's the RM file
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=12901

Do a search for Ferguson to see many other files too.

Thank you so much for your help. I had almost re-invented the wheel.
I have just tried the Ariva 150 file and it works well.
I had tried the Ariva 150 file within the Slingbox, but it didn't work and so I believed that the Ariva 250 used a different system
Thanks again to all for the learning experience.
