I recently purchased a used XSight Touch / Nevo C3 and after getting things rolling I have found that at least the Up and OK buttons are non-functional. I have done the factory reset. Connection to ez-rc didn't upgrade firmware, so I assume I have current (1.3.32). I can move the Up/OK functions to different buttons, so I know the function codes are correct.

Any ideas on resurrecting the remote/buttons, or am I out the $$$?

Also I cannot seem to get the case open, so if anyone has advice on that topic it would be quite welcome.

Thanks!

Unfortunately that is a common failure, and these remotes are really, really hard to get open.

My tools of choice are a guitar pick or old insurance card. But be warned this thing is tough and there are some wires near the side you need to be careful not to damage.

I would definitely ask for a refund or replacement. It is impossible to fix the buttons without replacing the whole board.

There are several clips on the sides to pop open, and two captive ones at the bottom. Remove the screws in the battery bay first. Weakest point is at the top of the battery bay, so be extra careful there. Start on one side (middle) and work your way around. You will probably break the bottom clips, but that's no big loss.
