I have a Taiwanese cable set top box and trying to create the Slingbox bin file. I already had the All For One remote(OARUSB04G) to learn the necessary signals and load its settings.bin file to the RMIR. I selected all the learned signals and convert to Device Upgrade. However, I don't know how to proceed forward to create the bin file that the Slingbox 500 can take.
I've checked the wiki but I don't see the example that creates the bin file from the Simplest remote bin file and some of the menu items on the wiki are missing in the latest version of RMIR. (For example: Export Binary Upgrade)
Can anyone help me out?
RMIR version: v2.03 build 12
OS: OS X 10.11.2
Slingbox 500
Thanks! |

Use RMIR to read the learned signals. Make an upgrade RMDU file and save it. Then open a session of RemoteMaster, and load the upgrade. RemoteMaster will give you the Export Binary Upgrade menu item. |

You said you had converted the learned signals to device upgrade, then from the device upgrade windows, select save as, save the rmdu file. Then open it in remote master, select slingbox pl chip as remote, and there will be an option from the menu to export binary file.
That is how I do it.
BTW, do you succeed in using rmir within os x?
Can you download from remote with os x and rmir?
Thanks. |
