so theres this inexpensive PS2 looking 6ch Rc transmitter / joystick
for quadcopter that seems decent looking.
I am looking for low cost RC stuff for arduino type hobby and was wondering
if the controller can be used for other stuff.
i dont know anything about RC such as do they all speak the same language and will other 6 channel RC receivers work with it?
i imagine the original Rx is a tiny chip on the copters motor control board
so thats not really an option unless i find a busted one on ebay etc.
so is there a simple enough way to capture and utilize the output signals from the transmitter with a pc or the arduino to use with robotics?
analyze 2.4ghz 6 channel RC controller

A quadcopter is a drone, so the remote would have to be RF rather than IR, and is therefore outside the scope of what most folks here know about.
However, Tommy Tyler did come up with a way to capture RF signals once, more info here...
