Connecting JP1 Cable

I have a UEI 1056B01 remote. I have the JP1 cable needed for this remote.There are 6 wires ON THE JP1 CABLE, and 6 pins on the remote. Does it matter what pins the 6 wires connect on to?

Find pin 1. They're usually arranged something like this:

1 2
3 4
5 6

If your cable is like most, then connect like this:

2 Yellow, 3 Black, 4 Green, 6 White

Leave the 2 remaining unconnected.
