I will pay for an expert to customize my remote for me.
I have a URC 1056B01 remote with JP1.3 pins. I would like my new audio video pre-amp volume up/down and mute controls to work on it as my brand is not supported by my remote. I'm partial to this remote and just don't use the Harmony that I have programmed.
I'm just not computer savvy enough to get into JP1 programming and have no problem paying for this service.
Let me know if you can help.
Thanks

What is the make and model of the preamp? There is a lot that can be done from the keypad. Sometimes you don't need the computer if there is a built in signal that carries the correct fixed data.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

The Bryston uses an unrecognized protocol. So this can't be handled via the keypad. We can create an upgrade but the upgrade needs to be loaded via a jp1 cable......

Feel free to bump this thread as often as you like. Hopefully one of our Canadian members will offer to help. I'd do it myself if you were anywhere but Canada. I've shipped things all over the world without issue. But the last time I shipped something there, it was an expensive customs nightmare. Never again.
Alternatively, if you buy a cable, we could build the file for you so all you'd have to do is plug in and click download.

We are pretty good at hand holding here. We all stared out as newbies. Getting a good cable is very inportant. With a cable you can add some very sophisticated features besides contolling your preamp.Kayaker wrote:If you're willing, I could ship you the remote. Other routes might take more hand holding than either one of us is comfortable with.
I might even have 2 done so I have a backup. Let me know, thanks.
