One For All remote OARUSB04G Information

Post by jazzyannemosrite »

Can anyone provide some info or advice on codes and procedures for programming a OARUSB04G remote? I've managed to figure out some buttons but the Audio button would be nice as a Roku control. The remote web site is not useful. Thanks

The code for Roku is 03061. We also have a Roku device in our file section.

Depends on how you want to program it, using our software or manually.

For our software, read these (ignore the parts about JP1 cables and pins):

The above thread also has some additional instructions and links to manuals.

Download our software here (much better than SimpleSet):

OARUSB04G Remote control code list

Post by jazzyannemosrite »

Hello,
I have looked in vain for a code list for the OARUSB04G remote. Could someone guide me in the direction of a list of codes for this remote? Thanks :(

I've never seen one in print either, but most of the ones on the Lookup Tool site at the top of this page should work. If this remote uses 4 digit codes, then the Roku code above becomes CBL 3061. Others to try are AUD 1828, and CBL 1486 or 2371. I think they're trying to simplify the process by getting away from codes. You don't have any luck on the Simpleset site?

Of course if you load Remote Master and click the code selector icon at the top, you get a complete list of all codes.

EDIT: Just checked, and 3061 is definitely there. Should work with any Roku from the past few years.

Thanks for the response. Also, do you know if the audio button can be used to control the Roku3? I have the TV, CBL and DVD finished. The audio button for Roku would round things out nicely. Thanks

With Remote Master, yes, no problem. Otherwise you'd need to change the device type of the AUD button to CBL. This can be done on other JP1 remotes, but I don't know how to do it on this one. You could try it and see if it works:
