End of the road for me I'm afraid. I have checked them side by side and that Custom Remote C2010 is sending identical signals to the built-in Handan CDC-7000 ST so there is no logical explanation why one works and the other doesn't. Sorry we couldn't get there.

Alan, do you have a sample from the widget, there might be more variations than just the 36K to 57k in the signals you are trying to send.

Sure, thanks for offering to help. https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=13030 contains the ICT readings from the built-in Handan CDC-7000 ST that works for this box (Power and 0-9). And also the RMDU and C2010 BIN file that I built from those values, which doesn't work.

Well there is something rotten in protocols.ini.

Your ICT captured Device 17, as set in the the RDMU matches, but the remote is actually shooting Device 23 instead of Device 17..

We are going to need. Help from 3fg....

The PID 0182 executor is a combo executor, and can send two different device numbers. The defaults are 17 and 23. The RMDU file has Device 1 filled in as 17, and Device 2 has been left blank. However, on the functions page, the selected device number is 23, and that's what it will shoot. The behavior of RM here is to auto-select Device 2 if the user doesn't specify the device while filling out the function tab.

Perhaps we can revise protocols.ini so that the device selector on the Functions tab defaults to Device 1 rather than Device 2, but I wouldn't bet on it. Perhaps someday we can change the way RM works so that it displays the Protocol Parameters default values rather than leaving the field(s) blank

Anyway, the immediate fix is to select 17 on the Functions tab.

Thanks so much 3fg.

I feel so embarrassed for not seeing that myself. I immediately went to the protocols.ini thinking it was something to do with 17 hex being 23 decimal, I thought there would be something wrong with the device translator. But I get in there and its so mysterious!!!

Truth be told I never even looked at the functions tab. I just changed remotes, looked to make sure the correct functions to buttons and shot. Saw the OBCs coming out correctly and the device being so wrong.

Thank you very much indeed.

~Alan, A quicker fix for this is to just change Dev2 to 17 also. Then you'll get the correct dev on all the functions too.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

That makes 2 of us :D So simple when it pointed out.

OK, https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=13030 has been updated with the revised 2010 (power and numbers), & 2011 & 2012 (unused codes). Let's hope we have better luck.

Thanks to both of you, sterling work.

Hi! here is the report of the test :)
File 2010 : numerical buttons and power works - however the channel up and down doesn't work even on the hidden menu - so if on that one we can fix the channel up and down will be perfect

File 2011 : only the power works

File 2012 : nothing works

A big thanks!

OK, at least we have the basics right. However, there is something wrong with 2012, either you didn't install it properly or I compiled it incorrectly, as the Power was correct on that one, as well as 2 other working codes I copied from C2010 as a check. So I have recompiled 2012 and also done a new 2011 with a working code on one of the buttons just to confirm it has installed OK.

Please try again with those 2 files. https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=13030
