Alan, here's my feedback:
- Yellow/Blue buttons: no function (they used to launch Audio/Subtitles).
- Red button: Search module (OK).
- Green button: Settings module (OK).
- Last: Back function (OK).
- Replay: Replay function (OK).
- Pip+: Favourite list selection (OK).
Moreover, we've recently have been told that there're new keys:
- DVR button:
RC-5 Key code (Hex) -> 36
RC-5 Bitstream X=Control bit DeviceID=00001 -> 11X00001110110
- Info:
RC-5 Key code (Hex) -> 2f
RC-5 Bitstream X=Control bit DeviceID=00001 -> 11X00001101111
- Guide:
RC-5 Key code (Hex) -> 38
RC-5 Bitstream X=Control bit DeviceID=00001 -> 11X00001111000
However, there are only one free button on the Synergy image, which is Pip- (currently it launches Audio). Please, tell me if mapping these new keys would be possible.
I'm really sorry for bothering you so much, but I receive unexpected RCU versions and working with Slingbox is really important for me
I wish this is a final version, at least for next weeks. Thank you so much for your help!

I cannot explain why the Yellow and Blue buttons have stopped working, I didn't do anything to them. I don't understand what is going on.
However, I feel this whole situation is now spiralling out of control, with so many changes coming in. Common sense says you should learn how to do this so you can do it yourself, it won't take more than a few minutes, and I am not doing anything that you can't do yourself.
So please download the package I put at
http://www.rmrsoft.com/remote.zip
and unzip it somewhere on your system. Then run the Setup.vbs file. Now you should have a shortcut to RemoteMaster ? The instructions to use the program are at http://www.hifi-remote.com/wiki/index.p ... moteMaster
I have put all the source codes at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=13001, that is for the working C2010, the test 2011 and the C1115 that links the BIN file to the Synergy Remote.
Let me know if you need any help on producing the BIN files.

Hi Alan,
The info you've provided is really helpful! I've already created my first .bin just to check if I'm able to map a few keys, and it works.
I need to continue investigating and will use the source codes you've shared, so maybe I'll need to ask you some doubts. For now, all I can tell is thank you so much and merry Christmas!
Best regards

Good, glad you have it running. As you can see, producing BIN files using the default image is easy, what it doesn't explain is how to map to a specific image. For example you will see that the default Colour buttons are included as Custom 22-26 (Codes 74-78), as that was the default decided by Sling. But the Synergy remote image was built before that decision was made so it uses Custom 10-14, (Codes 62-66). If you need to know what button does what on an image I may have to do that for you unless you are using an earlier Slingbox, i.e. NOT a 350/500/M1 ?

Hi Alan,
The slingboxes I use are 500 or pro-HD models. Ideally, I need a Synergy image or any other with more buttons than the default one.
I haven't had a chance to investigate further, but if I use the source code "Technicolour STB with Synergy Remote.rmdu", aren't the keys already mapped to a Synergy image?
Thanks!!!

Yes, C1115 forces the system to use that image. Similarly, S1123 forces a Skybox image, C0483 a Comcast image... and so on. We have a list of some images over at http://slingbox.wikia.com/wiki/Skin.toc but there lots more we don't know about as Sling will not release the details.
OK, if you have access to a Pro-HD then I can show you how to determine what the buttons are mapped to in a Remote image. You need to install the old standalone Desktop Player onto a Windows machine (I have a copy at http://www.rmrsoft.com/slingplayer 2.0.4.exe). Once you have installed it you need to go to C:\ProgramData\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\2.0\ (you will need to set the "View Hidden Files", and open the File called SBCore.ini. Now add a line just under the first heading so it reads:
[Main]
DebugRemote=1
Now run up Slingplayer and display a remote. Hover the mouse over a button and it will tell you what code has been allocated to that button. Do it with the Synergy Remote on the Red button and you will it has been allocated Code 62. Now if you open the PL RDF file you can see what command 62 correespons to (Custom 10 in this case), so in RemoteMaster you can map the correct command.
Make sense ?

Hi Alan,
I can't access your link http://www.rmrsoft.com/slingplayer, but I already had the old Desktop player installed.
In C:\Program Files (x86)\Sling Media\SlingPlayer I can see a file called SBCore.sdb, even after having configured the folder to view hidden files. Is that the one I need to edit?
Thanks!

Ah ok, sorry
Now I can see the code allocated to each button. The image I see corresponds to one of the first C1115.bin version you shared with us and I would prefer not to replace it for that PRO HD slingbox in the next days.
I guess there is no way to do that with the web app for model 500? Anyway, I'll try to create a new complete .bin probably on Friday or next week with the info I have, and then let you know.
Thank you so much for your help!

Hi again Alan,
Sorry for the delay, I've been on holidays.
I have a question (one more). As you know, I have the following information for each key:
RC-5 Key code (Hex) -> 36
RC-5 Bitstream X=Control bit DeviceID=00001 -> 11X00001110110
As you explained in one of your posts (19 Dec), the Hex code 36 (in this example) doesn't match the Hex code I can see in the source code you shared. Please, how did you get to that correct hex codes, matching the expected functionality? I'm a bit confused
Thanks!!!

Alan, I'll try to explain what I've done with an example (Menu key in my RCU):
RC-5 Key code (Hex) -> 1B
RC-5 Bitstream X=Control bit DeviceID=00001 -> 11X00001011011
- The hexa number (1B in the example) in fact corresponds to the last 6 bits of the binary code: 011011
- If I transform that hexa number (1B) into decimal (1B hexa = 27 dec), the decimal number matches the OBC code.
I've checked that procedure by replacing a new key (Info) with one repeated (Pip -) and it seems it's working. Does it make sense?
