URC-6430 power button with CombiControl

Post by Tolaris »

I got a bit off-topic on the forum.flirc.tv. Perhaps you can better help me?

http://forum.flirc.tv/index.php?/topic/ ... nd-urc6430

I have a URC-6430 which I'm using to control a Panasonic TV (on the TV button) and a Flirc+XBMC+Linux PC device (on "PVR" button). I use CombiControl in "watch TV" mode most of the time. I'd like the Power button in this mode to send power to the TV, not both devices, and for holding the button to continue sending the signal. Is this possible?

Removing devices from master power is detailed in the manual. Alternately, just use our Remote Master software and uncheck the box for the devices to omit.

There is no way to extend duration yet unless you want to do a custom protocol with RM.

Thanks for the help. Which manual? The URC-6430 manual does not detail this as far as I can see.

Try the procedure on page 8 of the 6440 manual:

I don't know if it will actually work on a 6430. If not, you can do it in Remote Master.

Otherwise, just press TV then Power then Watch TV to power on. To power off, press TV then Power. Besides the power macro, all Watch TV does is assign different groups of keys to different devices.

Hi Tolaris,

Enter setup mode, select Combi Control button you want to change (Watch TV or Watch Movie), press device button you want to exclude (or include if already excluded), press power button.

After pressing power the selected device button will blink two times if the device is excluded or four times it's included in the macro.
