3. Year: 2002
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: RCA RCRP05BR
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No
6. Still have original remote? No, can't find remote for sale
7. Checked the file section? No
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes, ext-vid-dvs204.zip
9. Partially working setup code? Unknown
10. Learning remote question? n/a

Extron also has an IR Remote Control Hex Code and Signal Timing Guide. I don't have a JP1 cable, so EFC codes are preferred if possible. Thank you! |

Thanks for including such a complete set of information. This IR protocol is NEC1, device 0. You can use any NEC1, device 0 setup code. Find those using the Lookup Tool linked at the top of this page. I'd probably start with cable 2301, since most of the functions are already programmed into the remote-- but probably not to the buttons you'd like. Audio 1257, TV 0846, and Video 0719 will all work, and so will a lot of other setup codes. Here's the EFCs labeled with the button numbers shown in the IR Remote Control link: Code: | 1 00181
2 00185
3 00183
4 00187
5 00180
6 00184
7 00182
8 00186
9 00053
10 00057
11 00055
12 00059
13 00052
14 00056
15 00054
16 00058
17 00117
18 00121
19 00119
20 00123
21 00116
22 00120
23 00118
24 00122
25 00245

28 00251
29 00244
30 00248
31 00246

Horizontal + 00123
Horizontal - 00116
Center Up 00122
Center Down 00250
Center Left 00247
Center Right 00244
Color - 00169
Color + 00167
Brightness - 00168
Brightness + 00166
Detail - 00041
Detail + 00039
Tint - 00171
Tint + 00164
Contrast - 00170
Contrast + 00037 |
I didn't notice any difference with the Freeze button, so maybe it's button 9 instead of 8, I'll have to test it. |

Where did those codes come from?
The DVS-204 manual says buttons 00054 (button 15, "Input 6" on IR 901), 00117 (button 17, "Take"), 00043 (44, "Sharpness -"), and 00036 (45, "Sharpness +") are non functional. 00123 (button 20) is already listed above as Horizontal +. |

I got them from the Pronto file that you posted earlier. i compared the codes in there to the ones that you found. I guessed that input5 and input6 wouldn't do anything, but I figured these other ones were worth a try. _________________ Rob
