I am looking for ways to program the XR2 remote that comes with the new XFinity X1 platform. All I want is to control Volume and Power of a Yamaha YSP-4100 soundbar.
I followed the procedure provided by XFinity and tried all the codes listed for Yamaha equipment, but no success.
Info about the remote here: http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/xr2-xfinity-tv-remote/
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dieter |

The remote is specifically XR2 Version U2.
I tried the following codes that I found for Yamaha equipment:
30176, 31176, 30354, 10030, 10019, 10797, 10017. |

The XR2 remote isn't able to control a Yamaha sound projector like the YSP-4100. The YSP series uses the NEC1 IR protocol, device 120, and the XR2 has no setup code for this.
Alternative remotes which will control your Comcast box as well as the YSP-4100 are the RCA RCRP05B, the Atlas series of cable remotes, and the Comcast 1067BC4 (not the 1067BX3 or any other model ending in 3). The RCA is also capable of learning other IR signals. The Comcast 1067BC4 is the newest design and has the latest setup codes. |
