Hi,
Need some help here. I need a remote for my DVR LG RH589H for Slingbox 350. I tried using the LG RHT398H and the LG RHT-497H from the download area, and functions are okay for my web-based player.
Problem I have is that I can't access the custom buttons from my Ipad. Have tried modifying the bin files through RemoteMaster, by mapping my Custom12 button to the blue/white button. But whenever I export and import back, the mapping changed back to original. My rmdu file have the saved changes though, just that when I export to bin file, the changes were all gone...
Need the Custom12 to access the recordings in my DVR. Can anyone advise how I can modify using RemoteMaster, did I miss a step? Or can someone help to re-map the custom buttons?
Thanks.

There is a bug in the 350 that means that you cannot overwrite a Custom Remote using the same code. You have 2 options:
1. Recompile using a different code (2012?)
2. Reset ALL the inputs before installing the new remote. Apparently that cleans the system out.

Do you mean exporting the existing bin file and just save as another name, e.g. V2012_RV.bin?
I resetted both my inputs (I use component only though, the composite one shows unconfigured), still seeing the same problem.
Wondering whether my problem is how I use RemoteMaster to modify.. In the layout tab, I remapped the Custom12 function to the white button. When I export and import back, although the white button go back to showing white function, I did notice in the functions tab that the white function have the same EFC,OBC,Hex codes as Custom12. Is this how remapping is to be done?

Not really sure what you mean. Personally I use the Buttons tab to map a function onto a button. And the Function tab value should never be changed as they are the codes.
Why are you importing back ?
If you are still stuck just post the RMDU file and explain what you are trying to do.
And I assume that having changed the mapping you have recreated a new PL BIN file and then installed it ?

Just realised what went wrong for me. I needed to change the setup code in the Setup tab to 2012... I was importing back just to check whether my changes have been updated, since the remote on the web-player didn't seem show any changes.
It works fine now, have mapped a few custom buttons to the main remote buttons... Thanks a ton for the advice!
