Hi, okay... I've trawled this forum for about two years but have never been able to offer anything. I've searched fairly extensively to make sure this isn't a double up and it doesn't appear to be.

Here is the COMPLETE list of Daewoo IR codes for the above TVs - and possibly more.

These are the codes produced by the remote with the model number R55Bxx.

These codes are directly from Daewoo. If there is a better place to put this post then my apologies in advance.

If you are looking for a code to jump directly to a video source (the remotes only have a single button applying to multiple sources) then have a look at the entries towards the bottom prepended with "CASTEL" (whatever that means)

Regards
Darcy

Thanks, but, these are more useful to the JP 1 user if you just upload your actual KM or RM upgrade file to the Device Upgrade section of the File Area.

Thanks for the tip. It's been so long since I've played with my URC9960 that I've totally forgotten how to create keymaps and how to use the progams together. As soon as I create an rmdu for it i'll upload it. At my rate that may be a week or so away - these might be useful to someone now Smile

There's one crucial piece of info missing, what protocol should be used?

I've created a KM file based on the info posted, but the protocol selected is most likely incorrect...

I'm pretty sure the correct protocol is Proton.

I compared the (much smaller) list of OBC numbers I have for Daewoo TV's using Proton protocol, device 20 to the list of OBC numbers in this thread. They match.

I expect Daewoo brands TVs using other protocols, but I doubt that the device number and OBC numbers for those would match.

However, I also looked at the JP1 file:
Daewoo DP42S Device Upgrade.txt
It uses pid 005D.
Protocols.ini says Proton is pid 005C.

I don't have time today to look more closely at 005C and 005D to see if there is some aspect of this I'm misunderstanding (such as another protocol similar enough to Proton that DecodeIR reports Proton, but it isn't really).

What files do you have that list Protocol for Daewoo TVs? None of the 4 files in the file section use Proton.

I found a Pronto CCF file for a Daewoo DTQ-2605FC which uses the Proton protocol with a device code of 20 and the OBCs mostly match the list above. I also compared this data to the TV/0624 setup code and it mostly matches also, so I have updated the KM file to use the Proton protocol.

Oh wow, thanks guys!

I did start playing around with it last night and IR was definitely reading it back from my 9960 as using the Proton protocol.

I have an old Daewoo DLM-32C5. The remote is broken and I am trying to replace it with URC 7960. The remote works with the code 1909 but I am unable to switch it to HDMI mode. The original remote had a button called Multimedia. I am trying to find the EFC (5 digits) which can enable this button.

Can someone help? Please let me know if you need to know something more..

Thanks

Do the menu arrow buttons work with TV/1909?

These are some other daewoo input source buttons, try these

44042
44108
44114
44204
44276
45138

With remote set to TV mode
tap setup, (not hold)
type in the 5 digit number making sure the remote is pointed at the tv before
pressing the final digit.
repeat until you find the input/toggle
