Installation depends on your Slingbox:

Slingbox 350/500
----------------
Follow the instructions at:

http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... 0-and-350/

and use just the PL.BIN file.

Other Slingboxes
----------------
Follow the instructions at:

http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/for ... -350500-1/

If you have a Pro-HD then use the PL.BIN file. For other Slingboxes try both the files.

Once you have completed the setup and the BIN files have been downloaded to the Slingbox they are not used any more and can be deleted.

Hi

I currently have a solo for test purposes hooked up with I-O data HVTR-BTL and IODATA HDPE-UT500 as I have no physical access to the devices at present

OK, you don't appear to understand how this all works ?

1. The IO-Data file you refer to in your original post is am RMDU file. This is the source code for the program RemoteMaster, that you use to create the BIN files. Did you realise that ?

2. You appear to think the remote files should be installed on the PC viewer ? That is not true, you have to install the BIN file into the Slingbox itself. You have to that so that the remote is then available for ALL viewing systems. For example, if you just installed it on your PC then an iPhone viewer would not see it.

3. You don't need physical access to the Slingbox or the devices to configure the inputs. That is assuming you did the initial setup with the router correctly and you can see a video feed.

4. Did you search the forum before posting this ? There was a long discussion about this box a few weeks ago. See https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewt ... c&&start=0

5. As a result I built a Custom Remote for this box and uploaded it to the File Section at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12431 Did you not check there ?

Over to you :D
