RDF for URC-1057BG0

If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

RDF for URC-1057BG0

Post by ankinney »

Does anyone know where I might find an RDF file that is compatable with the URC-1057BG0 remote? This remote came with a Motorola DCT/5100 HDTV cable box from Comcast.
Thanks, Allan

Does this remote communicate with IR.exe? Some of the new Comcast remotes are not JP1 compatible, even though they have a 6-pin connector.

If it does work with IR.exe, post the memory dump in the Diagnosis Area and I'll take a look at it.

The remote does not communicate properly with IR.EXE. When I try to download from the remote I receive an error message:
"SDA is being held low. Make sure batteries are installed in the remote." ...they are.
Thank you, Allan

Does it say something like "JP1.1" near the 6-pin? I suspect that you have one of the new "Flash" chip remotes that are not JP1 compatible.
