telesystem 7800hd

Post by dandemark »

Hello everybody. i am Italian and live in United States. I have a slingbox solo in Italy connected with a cable box telesystem ts7800hd, the streaming is wonderful but I cannot find the remote control.
I checked for other posts and I think i am not asking something already discussed, I apologize in case there was.
I tried many times to configure a remote with the telesystem 7900 hd bin file already existing here.
I watch the streaming through the web page, tried different browsers (chrome and safari) mostly on a macbook...but when I upload the bin (i tried everyone) writing the root in the setup page, custom remote, it says: bin file not valid.

How can i solve the problem??

I think "Not a valid BIN file" 'actually' means is that it cannot find the BIN file.

On the Solo it could mean one of 2 things

a. It is not finding the BIN file. What EXACTLY are you typing in ?

b. It is the wrong type. Have you tried both the PL & RV BIN files ?

Thanks for the answers and sorry for late.

The root is supposed to be correct, I guess it find the Bin code. I tried either the PL and RV but none worked. Once again i repeat I tried the 7900 bin code 'cause was the only one available, but I actually have a cablebox 7800hd.
The only thing I didn't say is that I used tham as I had downloaded them, i Mean I didn't unzip the file cause I couldn't find any software that can do it, but i suppose they're to be used as they are.

Any other idea. I don't care too much about many function, I would just need to switch the channel....isn't there any other remote control that could work in the list of the supported ones?

I am typing:

Senza titolo/Users/Dani/Desktop/S2010_PL.bin

(or rv)
"Senza titolo" is the name for my HD

Yes I tried both, many times and even other for different tele system cableboxes

The name of the Hard Drive is irrelevant. You should be typing:

C:/Users/Dani/Desktop/S2010_PL.bin

Congratulations! We can't do anything about the speed, but if you need more functionality and are willing to put an effort into it, you can get complete control.

Same problem one year later

Hello guys, something changed, slingbox site renewed somehow and my remote control stopped working. I still have same codes and the root is now a little different, but quite the same thing

Macintosh HD/Utenti/Daniele/Scrivania/S2010_PL.bin

I tried this one

I tried C:/Utenti/Daniele/Scrivania/S2010_PL.bin

And any combination possible. The only thing I can notice is that new OS for Mac, Yosemite, doesn't use slashes but small weird arrows that I don't know how to do.

Any idea?

Follow the advice at http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... -slingbox/ and put it in C:\ Then you don't have to worry about typing a long path name.
