IRScope and 64-bit Windows 7

Post by jetstar52 »

I recently "upgraded" from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 7. I was able to get IR and RemoteMaster to work with my Delcom cable, but IRScope doesn't "see" my IR Widget, even though Device Manager shows the widget installed and working. Can anyone point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

In Device Manager, see what COM port number the widget has and select the same in IRScope.

I've also seen issues where devices won't work on USB 2.0 ports. If the plastic inside the port is blue, try a different port that has black instead.

Thanks. Strange, though: after doing nothing different, I got the program to work. Tested both the black 2.0 port and the blue 3.0 port and no problems.
