Working Remote for Videotron PVR (Samsung smt c8340)

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I bought a Slingbox500 so I could watch my recorded shows when out of town.
I programmed the Sling and the proper remote appeared but the LIST button was not working so I had no access to the recorded shows. That was a huge disapointment because the main reason for buying the SLingbox was precisely the capacity to watch my recorded content.

I tried pretty much everything that I could find for the smt-C8340 and other Samsung and even Cisco models. I could not get the LIST button to work.
I also tried the 2 bin files from here for VIDEOTRON RT-U63P-15 and i could not get the LIST button working.

I just tried the TIME WARNER Universal Remote from the Slingbox| Settings| PICK Menu under Samsung (on the Sling WEB player). All the buttons work, including the LIST but the remote looks different.

So until the right one comes up at least other SlingBox users that are with Videotron New Generation PVR will be able to get full functionality with the TIME WARNER remote.

I have not investigated this further but maybe there is an easy way to merge Videotron remote skin with the Time Warner remote file...

If possible I would appreciate instructions on how to do it.

There is an easy way, but not with the Slingbox 500. There is a bug in the firmware that prevents you linking images with BIN files. Sling are aware of the bug but don't seem to be in any hurry to fix it as so few people are affected.
