The red glow was only seen in a darkened room.
it probably originated from the red indicator on top, and was due to that being reflected inside the remote, and insignificant.
More testing confirms something else strange about the SurroundSound macro: Although it's not a DSM it only does anything if Audio/DynVol is pressed with the remote in AUX mode, which is not what was needed. However [Dev_AUX; Set_Other], instead of just Dev_AUX, does work from any mode, again without Power being effective - but without the desired temporary effect. Presume it means the global normal-macro action is ok after all, and it's just another problem that dev_AUX doesn't work as a temporary mode changer.
Thank you for your time Vicky, and especially for keeping me going with this - it was an exercise in anticipation of n.boater's extender for URC7950 which is really of more interest, and have learned some things in the process.

Perhaps someone with a similar remote can give us more insight. Normally I cheat and just load the image into my remote. It gives me a much better understanding of what is going on.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Are you sure your extender is running?
None of the keymoves and macros would run if the extender is not running.

You did have some corruption early on. Perhaps something else got broken in the image.
Talk to your extender developer on the best course of action.
