GVT BIN file works for PL chip, but doesn't work for JB one

Post by Volodymyr »

Hi,

I observe strange behavior - binary file made for PL chip works fine, but another binary file created for JB doesn't work at all. Both files are made from one RMDU file. Can you please help solve this problem?

RMDU

BIN for JB (doesn't work)

BIN for PL (works)

Thanks

Why produce a JB file ? All new boxes are compatible with the PL file, as you have found.

And the differences will be because of the RDF file, not anything you posted here. What RDF file are you using ?

Hi Alan,

I've tried PL file with JB box and it works! Thanks!
I used old RDF files for JB file generating, because I haven't found appropriate RDF file in the latest RDF library. I guess, this was the reason.

Thank you!

There is a JB RDF file at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=10911 But as you have seen, it isn't needed for Slingboxes as the PL is compatible.
