Bose Protocol?

Post by wrdavis »

I inherited a Bose Wave radio with CD player on the top. Downloaded the file " Bose Wave Radio (CD/1253)". The function codes match what I found by using the learn function of my URC8810 remote. Except the learn mode shows the protocol to be BOSE. The RemoteMaster program has no BOSE and uses MANUAL Settings. What do I need to do make this work?
Also the very first POWER button gave a protocol of Bose and DirecTV. Tried DirecTV with no success either.

If you are using IR,
Open the RDMU,
change the remote to 881x
match up the functions to the buttons.
switch to the OUTPUT tab
Copy the devices upgrade code
Add a device in IR under the devices code
Paste
Switch back to RM
copy the Protocol upgrade code
Add a protocol in IR
Paste
.....

If you are using RMIR, open your remote image
Add a device,
Open your RDMU file
Reassign the functions to the buttons you want
save...
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

The Bose IR protocol is produced by executor 010C, which is in both the URC 8820B00 and 8820N. Setup code Audio 1253 should control many of your functions. So if you're low on memory, you could save space by using the built in 010C executor rather than loading the manual settings.
