Slingbox control for Biostek TDT-120

Post by slingweazel »

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a slingbox remote control for the Biostek TDT-120.
This is a DVB-T receiver.

Thanks in advance!

Normally I can help by installing the device onto my Logitech Harmony Remote and analysing the signals, but unfortunately BioStek are not a recognised manufacturer in the Logitech database.

Hi there,

Thanks for your effort :)

What I can say, some of the buttons work from the Grundig Davio 7 remote (portable DVB-T tv) e.g. clicking on "6" tunes the box to "1".

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find up/down with that remote, but maybe this gives you an idea :)

OK, the database recognises Grundig :D But it has never heard of a 'Davio 7'. Do you have a proper model number ?

Davio 7 LW 18-5701

Maybe if you find this model i could send you the keys I get working with it and maybe you find a pattern in the IR code :)

Sorry, the Logitech database doesn't recognise any of that. It's odd, as it covers 99% of all known devices, maybe I am missing something.

Alan, do we know what the slingbox sends for #6 on the "Grundig Davio 7"?

Sorry, I mean that the physical remote I use for that TV "works" with the DVB-T box.

But I'll do some testing with other remotes, and see if I get any further, and then maybe we can re-map some keys :)

Yes, I understood what you meant about the physical remote, but unless I can install it on my Harmony remote I have no clue what protocol it is using.

Hi there,

I decided to go with another box, maybe the codes are easier to find :)

The brand is "Metronic" or "Starcom", can you find that in your Logitech remote?

Yes, they are both in there, although there is no guarantee the specific model will be in as well. Check it yourself when you have more details:
