JP1 Remotes

Hi folks.

There's a clearance sale at the Canadian version of Radio Shack, approximately $10 for an:

"RCA CRCRV06G 6-IN-1 UNIVERSAL VOICE CONTROL REMOTE"

I've tried to find detailed specs and any JP1 references, but I'm stumped. Google suggests that the leading 'C' means it's the Canadian version of an RCRV06G remote, but I've found no joy there either.

Does anyone have experience with this remote, or at least know its upgradeability? Aside from the voice feature, it's a 6-device learning remote.
