Hi Hnutma

If Tommy can't help you out you might try this guy.

I suspect that you're not really looking for an adapter but are really looking for a JP1 cable. You mention both "parallel port" and USB, which makes it even more confusing. Could you please clarify exactly what you need.

This is what an adapter looks like:

As Tommy's store is currently closed, you could consider buying a replacement cable from the DIY store:

If the remotes that you're programming are old fashioned JP1 remotes, and JP1 cables are obsolete now, you would need to buy a JP1.x cable and a JP1.x to JP1 adapter.

Cable:

Just FYI, as of December 1st, Tommy's store has re-opened.

HOWEVER... if you are from one of the following 26 states, be aware that there will be a 50% surcharge on the total cost of your order:

CA, CO, CT, DE, DIST. of COLUMBIA, FL, HI, IL, IA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, VT, VA, or WA

List confused me at first-- shouldn't WI be on that list?

And, while DC certainly wants to be, the only state they're currently in is the state of taxation w/o representation.

All you need to do is look at a red - blue map of the election results to understand. I do think it is a shame to blame the JP1 members for something out of their control, but I don't make the rules.

I would say "a shame" is a giant understatement.

I was hoping that Tommy would have withdrawn that by now himself, but as he hasn't, I have just deleted that section from the original post and will write to him offline about it. I won't tolerate that sort of discrimination here.
