Besides what ever is going on with the slingbox, the RDMU is wrong.

The Device is 1
Subdevice is 253
Leave parameter blank.

That message simply means the setup cannot find the correct BIN file. Either you haven't put it in the right place or, more likely, you should be using an RV BIN file not a PL bin file.

No, The device decode is 1.253, so that is a Device of 1 and a Sub-device of 253. You have put 253 as the Device and left the sub-device empty.

Thank you all for replying. :D :D

It is becoming so weird now as my other device's remote which works perfectly before is giving me the same error message "Custom remote code not found. Please try a different code". I will try to fix it and then come back for update tomorrow. I need to catch some sleep since it is now 2:00 AM here in Taiwan. :( :( :( Have to work tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be able to get everything in order tomorrow!!!

I put the file under the path C:\Program Files\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\SBAV\

Think it is the correct path. Thank you all again for kind help and good night!

It is the correct path, but make sure you put BOTH PL & RV BIN files in there. Your Slingbox will pick the correct one.

And as per the instructions make sure you are typing C2012 (Upper case), not c2010 (lowercase) The latter will cause that error.

The ICTs match the one that I recommended earlier.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

It works now!!! :D :D :D :o :o :o

I want to thank you all again being so helpful and being so patient teaching me from scratch.

I really love JP1 forum/community. In here, I found so much useful information and so many kind people. I still can't believe a newbie like me can actually make my own remote working. Also, Tommy’s IR widget is awesome.

I like to give the remote back to the community and could someone help me to upload this file

Scroll to the top of this page where you'll find several links in the center of the page. Click on the link called "File Section" then navigate to the appropriate folder then use the UPLOAD button to add the file.
