Bin Code for Humax IRHD-5000C

Post by valinco »

Hello!

I hope some of the more clued up folk can help me out. I am a complete newbie and have only recently purchased my Slingbox HD.

I am having problems with the remote - I cannot find the codes that enable me to use my box properly. On the physical remote there is a button which allows me to toggle between languages (original and English). This button is massively important as the cable tv service is dutch, therefore as I am not dutch I switch the language to English to enable me to enjoy sports and movies in English.

I cannot find any files which support this button, which obviously is very frustrating!

Can anyone help me? I have searched thouroughly and I can't seem to find anything for my box. The box is a Humax IRHD-5000C.

Mikey

If you are using bin file(s) that you downloaded from here, please provide a link to the file(s).

If you are using codes that came with your Slingbox, please list which ones.

First of all thanks for the advice thus far.

The link that richey posted is to the humax IRFOX C - This is the remote i was using.

I have tested the bin file supplied by Richey.

The audio button on this remote is the green button which serves a different function on my box therefore I need the IRHD-5000C as the IR code for the audio button appears to be different.

The audio button on my box is laid out as button 20 on the diagram above - basically the remotes are different.

Is there anything more i can do apart form purchase another box?

Thank you alan!

with this one I can alter the audio by right clicking custom then clicking custom 10 which brings up the audio menu. Jackpot!

The skin is not like the remote for box, but the main thing is the audio can now be changed.

Does anyone know if i will be able to select the audio in this manner using a boxee box? I am thinking of getting one but not sure how i could change the audio. Would i have to go to the webplayer first, change the language on the box then boot up the boxee ap? Or can this be done through the boxee, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never had one.

Once again thank you.

Oh yes it does! Excellent! Thank you. In my excitement I must not of checked all the buttons.

I guess I would be able to somehow map this button on the boxee ap for slingplayer... Guess this is a question for another forum.

Unlikely, the only person who can do that is the Sling programmer that designed that app.
