Thank you for your effort. It appears to be "just" to be Wine packed with IrScope. (BTW, not quite the recent version, or the recent DecodeIR). So it should probably work with other Unixoid OS like Linux too. When trying to start, I had to download an X Server (XQuartz I thing), however this was problem free (not counting almost 200 MB disk space). As I expected, the hardware support did not work, it did not search for my IR Widget on anything useful device name. Possilbly there is some configuration option to tell wine to look for something like /dev/ttyUSB0? Otherwise I could not identify any problems.
Ironically, IrScope with the hardware support removed can (essentially) be replaced by IrMaster, which is a Java program, that also without Wine runs on "everything". |
