Triax C-HD 207CX or Clint DC5 remote

Post by bjarketh »

Hi!

I'm new at the board, so I hope I don't make any big mistakes, when i post here?

I'm looking for a remote file for one of the above mentioned tv boxes for my Slingbox PRO-HD. I haven't been able to use one of the existing remotes, which is already available on the Slingbox. Can anyone help me? :D I also tried downloading the program from Slingbox, which can learn IR codes and the create a bin file. However Slingbox isn't hosting that file any more?

Best regards,

Did you try all the remotes for Triax available with Slingbox?
Did you try the files available at the file section? (from the above menu select File search and enter Triax)

For example giva a try the file for Triax ST-HD 527 prepared by Alan Richey.

Make sure you upload the correct file.

JU, PK, PL, RV & JB. If you want to check your type you can verify your IR blaster version in the Slingbox Properties dialog. Then match the IR version number with the chip type using the chart below.
1=JU (old US boxes), 2=PL (current non-HD US boxes), 3=PK (never used), 4= RV (current non-US boxes), 5= JB (Slingbox Pro-HD) (Compatible with PL files)

In addition you might want to try this Clint_C1_dvb for the Clint.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

OK, I can probably build a Custom Remote for you, but we won't know if it works until you get the box. Catch-22 :D

That is correct. But it would be even easier, if bjarketh could confirm/denied if the suggest alternative works. But thanks for your offer, maybe i will take you up on that :)

But right now, i have some major concerns regarding the component cable issue, which i have to work out before i buy anything new.

Strange that a good DVB-C tuner with CI interface, PVR recording, component out and slingbox remote support is so hard to find :(

Not really. Logitech reckon there are over 5,000 different brands and nearly 250,000 different devices out there, using many different protocols and codes. Impossible to do them all, which is why they implemented the custom method.

Maybe i was unclear, it has happening before ;)

But i didn't mean the remotes, but the DVB-B tuner i mean.

Sorry, misread your post. I understand now. Offer to build a Custom Remote still stands though. The Logitech Database can be checked here: http://www.logitech.com/harmony/components If a box is in there I can probably build one.
