Those are the discretes that work with known to work with Toshiba TV's that Nec1 Device 64 protocol.
Are you sure that the TV itself works with Nec1 Device 64?

Do you have the pronto hex for any working key, so we can see what your TV actually responds to?

Well gamete, can you post some working hex for this device so we can at least try to help?

Just because toshiba has traditionally used Nec1 device 64, doesn't mean they always do. If we could decode the working hex, we might be able to help you go discrete hunting. Discrete hunting, can be fun, but it can also get your TV into strange places. With Sharp TVs you can get yourself into "evil K" mode. In other TVs like the LG you can get your self into the service menu with a single key, or do a factory reset of your TV with a combination of strange codes.

If we had all the hex for the TV, we could make a working upgrade for our use, and give you some ideas of what the OBC range is not working.

Maybe you're unfamiliar with Pronto hex, so here's a sample of what it looks like...

What we're looking for is a sample of a signal that works so we can determine what code set (eg, Protocol=nec1 Device=64) your TV uses.

It seems from what you said afterwards, the answer to this must have been NO.

So how did you get the Toshiba to turn on and off?

Did you pick Toshiba ZL1 from the Harmony site?

I couldn't find the Toshiba ZL1 in the Harmony database but there is a Toshiba 55ZL1. I assume this is the right one ?

If so I can confirm it uses NEC1 Device 64. It doesn't offer Discrete On/off or any HDMI selections but I can confirm the Power Toggle OBC is 18 if that helps.

Thanks Alan, that is just what we were looking for.

Gamete, we now know that your TV uses the Nec1 Device 64 signal type. Now we are going to see if your procedure is correct.

Below is the Pronto Hex for the Power button of your TV.

Can you make your harmony use this to turn on and off your tv using this hex with your method?

Code: Select all

0000 006C 0022 0002 015B 00AD 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0699 015B 0057 0016 0EA3
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Below is the Antenna code

Code: Select all

0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94
While viewing something connected to the HDMI, see if the antenna code will switch you back to the antenna.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
