KM and 2byte HEX codes

Post by vickyg2003 »

I wanted to create some KM upgrades for testing with RM, but the 5 digit EFCs being calculated, don't match up with the ones for RM.

If I enter a 5 digit efc in a column, byte 2 isn't calculated, and when I enter an OBC and byte 2, the 5 digit EFC doesn't calculate to be the same number as RM calculates.

So what is the status with the five digit EFC calculations? Are other people seeing these results in KM 9.22 or is something corrupt on my machine?

Although I believe that RM/RMIR calculates the EFC/OBC conversions correctly, I think you should take the results of the EFC Calculator on the Tools menu of IR.exe as the gold standard against which to check any other software, including RM/RMIR.

After a reboot, a fresh download, and starting from scratch, I'm not seeing the crazy numbers. It could be I made KM Sick with some of my experimenting. I often do that. Or it could be just my eyes playing tricks on me. Unfortunately I think it was the latter. Another post pretty much confirmed that my eyes are going absolutely whacky.
