I am having no luck getting this to function on my HD pro
I bought Tommy's IR widget and captured the codes OK. They are MCE based, and it seemed to go OK. I made the PL.bin file via the Remote master. I typed in the codes manually - maybe my PL file is no good? Would someone like to check my bin format please? here
I uploaded it as S2038_PL.bin through the Windows SlingPlayer, and that seemed to go OK. I checked the IR blaster bulbs with a digital cam. One of the four was defective. I have waved the other three all over the face of the Sat box, while pressing the remote buttons. The sat box has a little led that flashes when it gets a command but nothing from my IR blaster has yet to make it through.
How weak is the signal from these IR blasters?? How close does it need to be? By contrast the original remote will fire a command from anywhere in the room, with really bad aim too.
Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks Ross H.

You should have posted the ICTs and RDMU file so we could check what is being sent, against what you captured, because people often miss steps in the process. I think you might have too.
Since you have a Widget, you could have performed your own capture to see what is coming out of the irblaster. I imported your PL file back into RM and it looks to be MCE. I loaded it into a Comcast remote and it is shooting MCE 4.15 signals. I have no idea if that is correct or not, since you didn't provide the capture information.
My capture is showing
Power as MCE 4.15 OBC 12.
If that is the code you captured, from the OEM and the Sling, then it must be a placement issue, but I think its probably a case of not filling in the blanks.
I think you probably forgot to fill in the Device and OEM fields, since 4 is the default device and 15 is the default OEM code for the protocol.
Please let us know if you find a solution, and post your working rdmu file in the appropriate upgrade file area.
