The overall times and frequencies look the same between the two sets, but I notice that some of the remote captures show a toggle that flips on release whereas I'm not seeing that on the Slingbox captures.

The timings look great to me. And it shows that the correct signal is getting out. If you look at the original signals you shoud see X should flip to 166 but you have the "x high bit" set to constant so there isn't a change. I tried all sorts of tests on remotemaster to see if I could make RM lose the xbit setting, but it seems to be keeping the setting. Both yours and Alans upgrades are set to constant, but that isn't what should be sent.

I'd change the x bit high, and if that doesn't do the trick, it should be a matter of placement of the blaster, because its sending the right stuff.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

So I think I have found the problem I have manged to get the remote to work if I changed the X:166 and high xbit: Toggle. The only problem is I have to do a double key press. I've tried using the constant setting which usual fix this, but it doesn't work then.

and

I have to apologize because when I've now gone back and used the old file with X: 38 and High X bit: Toggle. It also works if I do a double key press, not sure how I missed that.

I have include the semi working files here what do I need to do to these to get them to work;

and are we still saying that you are only having problems with a JB box, but it works as expected on an RV box?

Hi Rob,

Yes the problem is only with Pro-HD which run either JB or PL in this case its JB but I supect the problem will be on both.

It looks like the problem was that you need to double key press on a High x bit of Toggle to get it to work.

My widget broke so at the moment I can't check how the toggle works, but have you tried X=38 and x-bit high as a RELEASE.

I think that might be what you need to get a more reliable remote.

Hi Vicky,

I had tried that and it didn't work in the past but I thought I would give it one more go and it works.

So thats strange but at least the problem is solved :D

Thanks for all the help from you all!

Phil, if you look at the file I posted earlier, which shows your learns converted into binary, you will see that in many of the learns there are several repeats with the toggle clear then one final learn with the toggle set. This is a good indication that the toggle only gets set on the release.

Just FYI, when the toggle is clear you will see X=38 in the Misc column, and when it is set you will see X=166 in the Misc column.

But back to the questions at hand, I don't why an upgrade with the toggle incorrectly set would work in an RV box but not a JB box.
