If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.
3FG wrote:This remote was mentioned here before. In that thread, Rob speculated that we could read the button numbers from the PCB, but I know of other instances where the numbers on the PCB don't match the internal ones.
So, to start, a couple of things would be useful.
1) Can you provide a link to the manual?
2) Try to program some macros using the 995 command and then do another raw download. Make sure to keep track of the buttons programmed into the macros, and the button(s) to which the macros are assigned. The idea is to include every button on the remote in a macro. That will allow us to determine the button numbers.
Hi 3FG
I thought it would be more complicated to make the macros.
I recorded macro1 to the GREEN button as a test and it worked:
GREEN btn: btn "i">CH+>CH+>VOL+>VOL+>CH->PWR(off).
That works fine.
Macro2: assigned to YELLOW btn: "GUIA (EPG)">CURSOR DOWN>CURSOR DOWN>CURSOR RIGHT>CURSOR LEFT>CURSOR UP>EXIT>1>2>3>4>5>6>7>PWR (off); although got the two flashes after recording it, didn't work with SAT RCV, nothing happened .
So before doing anything else I decided to make a raw download and ask you what should I do now, erase macro 2 and try it again or ignore that and proceed to record more macros with different keys? Here is the link for that raw download uploaded to the diagnosis area: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=10964
Thanks for that confirmation 3FG.
I know you don't need it but I don't like mysteries so I tried again, modified macro 2 and it works know. Either it doesn't like consecutive numeric buttons or the maximum # of allowed buttons is much smaller than 15.
Thank you 3FG!
I can't wait to have a go!
I had some annoying last days, my car broke down and its at the shop: electronic intermitent problems, the worst thing to happen to a car these days. Also my laptop broke down as well where I have all the Jp1 stuff, I'm typing this on my ipad. Hope to have both the car and the laptop fixed in a few days (and a lighter walet )
Thanks again for your help.
Rgds.
