Why not consider entering the information manually? Assign setup code DVD 0770 (TV 0435 and Cable 1169 will also work) and then enter 3 digit EFCs.
For example Power toggle is 058 and Play/Pause is 181. Use the procedure shown in the Wiki.
You can test whether DVD 0770 can be manually programmed, because after assigning DVD 0770, pressing the M1 button should toggle Power, and the Record button (may need pressing twice) should toggle Play/Pause.
Or you can test by tapping Magic (Setup), and then entering the 3 digit EFC.
