I took some pictures of the inside of the remote today. It looks like the JTAG pads are visible.

Yep, looks like they line up just fine.

Look at TCK though, it is going to a different pin.

I edited my post above, because I ended up finding another PDF that did have them lining up.

I'll see if I can probe it to see if anything is being spit out over some of these pins.

Turns out the rx and TX pins seem to be putting out some raw data or something. I haven't gathered enough data yet to determine if it is useful.

After looking at the docs some more, I'm going to look into the JTAG interface.
