can my 8910 file work my 8810 remote?
just got the 8810 to replace my 8910 with the donut ring. I thought I'd just be able to upload the file from my 8910 to the new 8810, but that doesn't seem to work. is there anyway to get my old file into the new remote, or do I have to start all over?

ok, looking at the extender I have a couple questions:
1) It has support for 'logical devices' what are those?
2) It has no 'learned signal support'. Does that mean I can't use learned functions anymore? Right now I still use a few, I guess if I can't use learned signals I need to make them part of ...

macros on device keys helps as much as it hurts
Ok, I have nice macros on my device keys and it's great. Just about anything that could possibly go wrong when the wife uses the remote is avoided, plus if she does somehow get something screwed up simply pressing the device button again sorts it out...very nice!
BUT, when I use the remote I can't ...

How do I deal with toggle only TV power?
Currently, I've solved the problem by using one button to power everything on and one to turn everything off. Then, the device keys set up everything properly for whatever device you want to use.
This isn't bad, but it leaves on devices like the DVD player all the time whether or not you are using ...

Where would I start to create a default settings button?
This must be common but I don't know where to start. I'm in the middle of completeting an upgrade to my 8910 right now.
Once it is done, I'll want to set up the device keys so that they set everything correctly for using whatever device you selected (I'm assuming I do this with macros?), in ...

will urc-9910 run my lights?
i have a remote that dims the lights in my TV room, but it is RF not IR. will the urc-9910 be able to run the lights since it is RF also? I currently have the 8910 and love it except it can't run the lights.

I hope someone can help. I'm a complete newbie to all this remote programming stuff.
