JP1 Remotes

Guys,

I have just got my URC-7544 back from being "upgraded" by One-For-All
(and a very good service it was too)

I was previously provided with a special pid:00BD code for the Nokia 221T DTTV box. I notice that the newly upgraded remote has this protocol added along with 001F for the Plasma.

Nothing is being transmitted by the remote
but I did check another remote with the camera to make sure it could see it!

I have a URC-7541 and have been programming it just fine using a JP1 cable.

A short while ago it stopped working for no apparent reason, I have checked the batteries.
The device buttons light up ok when a button is pressed and the IR.exe program doesn't find a problem and even flashed the TV button ...

ok thanks, I will try it if I can get the remote to send *any* IR commands! (I think it is toasted!)

Can I just change the Device type of the upgrade as wanted then? I assumed it had something to do with how it all worked and couldn't be changed. Doh!

Any ideas on why the remote refuses to do anything now! I'm not even sure that there is any IR coming out of it! my iPAQ doesn't appear to be seeing ...

Is it possible to toast the remote? ever since I tried the VPT protocol which failed, the remote doesn't want to control anything at all let alone the volume!

The problem is this....

There are 4 device buttons on the remote and 5 device "slots", these are assigned as follows....

TV - DTTV box (CBL mode)
VCR - Video (VCR mode) <- Haven't tried this one yet!
SAT - DVD (VCR mode)
AUX - CD (AUDIO mode) <- Haven't tried this yet!
xDev - Amplifier (AUDIO ...

As I have reassigned all 4 devices on my 7541, VPT does not work (as expected!)

I have tried the "VPT-enabler" protocol but it did not work (it did say it wouldn't but I thought it was worth a try anyway!) This would have been an ideal solution for me as all the devices I want to pass through use ...

I will certainly upload it when I am finished, thanks for the help!

I changed the style to lsb, the device to 248 and (2*OBC)+1 to all the OBC's and voila it works!!

I now have a device upgrade for the Nokia 221T!!

There is a protocol for the default remote but if I choose 7541 then it removes the protocol?

I hope I wasn't supposed to understand all that!

FWIW I tried selecting 00BD as the protocol, but it didn't work, (presumably KM doesn't have the protocol to upload?)

I also tried the "Nokia quad" protocol and that didn't work either.

My DENON DM-30 produces a similar thing with 2 lines for each key-press
the protocols for that come out as...
Denon & Gap-265-1450-13?

If you want I could create a complete CCF for that remote too.
