Comcast Xfinity X1 DVR and URC-7800

Hi, I am having Comcast install there newest DVR tomorrow, the X1. The JP1 remote I'm using is the URC-7800 Cinema 7 with Extender V5. I have downloaded both of the upgrades mentioned in this thread, and run them through Remote Master V2.01. Both seem to work in Remote Master, each one producing ...

Yes, that adapter will work with the FTDI cable. The adapter has a small CPU inside that does the work of translating JP1 to JP1.3. It is more than simply changing pins.

OK, I have a One For All JP1 remote (Cinema 7 URC-7800B00).

I have followed the instructions in Tommy's PDF "AN EASIER ...

assistance for a friend

OK, I need some more Windows 7 64bit help. I lent a friend my old JP1 Delcom USB cable, and he installed the WinUsb driver (Delcom Proxy) on his Win 7 64bit machine, and he was able to use the JP1 program to upload and download to his URC 7800 Cinema 7.

So, I took my cable back and he ordered the ...

Device upgrade for Western Digital Live STB????

I've done some searches on JP1 and can not find any references to a Set Top Box Media Player called 'Western Digital Live Hub' Media Center. It downloads files from you PC and allows 1080P playback of Videos, music, photos along with connect to other online services, i.e. Netflix, etc.

I just want ...

other cable drivers.....

On a little bit of a side note.....I have a friend that has an older JP1 remote that would like to use JP1 with. After going to the DIY Gadget web site, it looks like they don't stock any of the older USB cables (EEprom) for JP1 remotes. They do still have the 1.2/1.3 (flash) cables and the adapter ...

OK, I've been out of pocket for a couple of days, but I was finally able to get it installed....I must have been doing something wrong, because I started over and was able to get it installed. I did turn off 'automatic driver install' from Windows, and it installed with an error. I then went to ...

Well, I can't locate anything in any group of devices that has the yellow question mark. I would think there would be some way of 'forcing' Windows to install the driver that you are pointing to.

Are there any other Windows 7 users out there that know how to force windows to install the correct ...

Driver update issues

Ok, I have started through the install but have got a problem trying to update the driver. When I plugged the cable into a USB port for the first time, I got the 'Found new hardware' message, and Windows installs a general USB Driver, not giving be a chance to choose my own. So, I go into DEVICE ...

Windows 7 64 bit and old Cinema 7 (URC-7800) help

I now have a Windows 7 64 bit PC and need to get what I need to be able to continue to use IR. From checking before, I think I need the following two pieces of ...

USB driver for Windows 7 64bit.....

Is there a sticky somewhere showing us the status of the USB drivers for Windows 7 64 bit? It seems I saw one thread talking about it not working in the new Windows 7 64bit.

I have a USB cable and a URC 7800 Cinema 7 (EEPROM?) remote. I have been using Windows XP for years but will soon be ...

No problem! Thanks for all your help Vicky. And Liz, thanks for pointing out a little clean-up on my end. The SQV button was something that was on my old Mits TV. Just overlooked cleaning it up. You girls are the best!
