According the manual here , it looks like the remote is "Bora" from this page , which is the same as what some of the older Vizio TV's used to come with. Those Vizio remotes are JP1.2. Also, the manual above lists the setup codes as 5 digits, so it would mean the remote is relatively recent model ...

My Cox remote has the following inside of the battery compartment:
Next to the 6-pin connector, it says "JP 1.1" and "1003" and then Pin Numbers.
On the side of the compartment it says "URC-7820B00SA" and "09711" and "Z064004 A 000058 LF".

I assume that it is a Cox type 7820B remote. I plan to get ...

I iceshooter, I briefly replied to your post in AVS forum. I'm glad you found this forum, since as you can see, there are lot more people here that is knowledgeable about your remote that can help you.

I've looked around for ir codes for the device, and couldn't find anything, but my guess is that ...

I just bought AccessHD DTA-1080U and it comes with a JP1.3 remote. There is no RDF file for the remote currently, but I'm in the process of making it right now. Hopefully, I'll have that and the image & map file done soon.

You can use Digitrace Probe IR and CaptureIR to get the IR signals as well. The problem is that you need a parallel port for the IR probe. I use an old laptop with parallel port for JP1 programming, but I guess many new (and even not so new) computers don't have parallel ports.

If you haven't already, take note of unclemiltie's post about getting an empty IR file for Atlas. It's a good idea to first start with downloading data from the remote before adding new upgrades, but since you don't have the cable, yet, it would be good to get the file to start from if you want to ...

First, did you check to see if you turned off volume punch through for AUX? If it is turned on, the remote will send the signal for volume commands for one device, no matter what device mode it is in. The default setting is for TV, so it will send the signals for volume for TV even if you have the ...

I don't think there is any easy way to convert RM to KM without being able to run RM to see the codes to copy over th KM, so I'd look into getting RM to work on your machine. In the meantime, if the file above is all you need, here's the converted file:

Since he hasn't played with the toys, he hasn't been infected with the JP1 sickness. Since he doesn't have the sickness it may be difficult to convince him to go with the cable.

Normally, you just need to go to "Open..." in RM, change the file type to "All device upgrade files" or "KeyMapMaster device upgrade files" and then open the KM file. After opening the upgrade file, go to the pulldown for the Remote and change the remote to your model. You may need to change some ...

You can usually use makehex to make the clean hex codes. Open the upgrade file from RM and in the SETUP tab, you will find the Protocol name. Find the irp file in the Makehex folder that corresponds to the protocol and open it as a text file to change the parameters shown in Protocol Parameters ...

If you don't want to get a JP1 cable, you might be able to start with code VCR/0045 (note the VCR device code, not Audio). The file you link to seem to indicate that code ("Code:V0045"), and the amp upgrade file that vicky linked to is using the same protocol. You will have to add some functions ...

I assume you got the number 3940 from doing the calculation in the instruction in MCE notes. I think that note is a hold over from RC6-6-32 and might be wrong. Try just putting in "100" for device number and "15" for the OEM2.
