Thanks!

XSight Touch non-functional buttons

I recently purchased a used XSight Touch / Nevo C3 and after getting things rolling I have found that at least the Up and OK buttons are non-functional. I have done the factory reset. Connection to ez-rc didn't upgrade firmware, so I assume I have current (1.3.32). I can move the Up/OK functions to ...

Thanks again for the information ... it was a big help!

Just out of curiousity ... How do the battery based RF transmitter know what IR signal the remote is sending since their only connection to the remote seems to be via the battery slot? Is this just one of lifes great mysteries?

Thanks guys.

I guess I should have mentioned that I am currently the happy owner of several Insignia remotes used throughout the house. Many thanks to unclemiltie from myself, wife and kids for the extender :).

I currently have 2 DTV receivers (connected to 2 different TVs) and 2 TV's connected to ...

DirecTV RF?

Best I can tell from searching ... it is possible to configure a non-direcTV RF remote to pair with and communicate to DirecTV receivers that have built-in RF receivers (i.e. HR24).

Can anyone confirm or refute the above statement?

Any recommendations on a good JP1 RF remote. I have some rather ...

I second the recommendation for the Insignia ... very nice for my needs and there is an extender that works well.

I got the LKP to work if the macro calls the defined LKP device/key as the last step in the macro. Not sure if that is as intended.

If you still want me to post my file, just let me know and I'd be happy to do so.

Extender DKP/LKP

I am using unclemiltie's new extender for the Insignia remote. I have successfully converted ny Atlas based extender setup to this new remote and extender. Thanks for the great work unclemiltie!

I have started exploring using DKP/LKP and I am having some problems, but they are likely due to the ...

Great News and happy to do so. I have the 098GRABDMNEBYU version of this remote, a JP1.3 interface, experience using several other extenders, and a software developer/tester by trade. Just let me know when I can have at it :D

As stated by others above although the keymoves do not show in RMIR ... they do indeed work.

I updated the setup codes to values below 2048 and tried the save and reload as a .ir file. The keymoves still don't show, but they still work.

Also if it is of interest ... I noticed a strange problem ...

Device keymoves not importing using RMIR

I am using the latest versions of RM and RMIR on Windows 7. I have a frustrating problem where one of my device upgrade will not add its keymoves in RMIR when I load it. If I manually add them in RM IR they work, but get purged whenever I reload the device upgrade.

I have posted my .rmdu and .rmir ...

Sorry ... re-read 3FG's first post on how to convert the pdf codes ... I'm working that route and it is working for the Kaseikyo codes, but not for the Sharp codes.

I saw the pdf while online searching, but had no idea how to read and interpt. I would love to learn that, but need to get something functional for the family first.

I did start my upgrade with the file vickig2003 mentioned. With a few tweaks things worked pretty well ... except the "Return ...
