Actually, I did not modify protocols.ini at all (it will prevent RMDU corruption when loaded/saved). I modified the RDF, loaded Rob's KM file, corrected button layout and exported to bin.

Alan, your file does not work correctly (as before). I had to correct the RDF per Rob's instructions to make my bin file work as expected. Did you modify '004B' to '004B:7' in [protocols] section? I also use the latest slingbox RDF you posted in the forum (thanks for that, too!).

It works! I loaded Rob's KM file into RM and created my own button layout, tested and everything is fine. Alan, I didn't test your bin file specifically, but I am pretty sure it would also work. Do you want me to test it?

Ok, so now one of our files should be uploaded to Hifi-Remote for all that ...

I will test it as soon as I get home from work (I am at GMT +3). I have a feeling it would be fine now

Rob, I loaded the KM file into RM, changed to Slingbox RV remote and exported into SBAV dir. Loaded the file into SB, and it still behaves the same as the others; '0' is power, '1' is 4, '2' is 6 etc. Most buttons do not work.

So I guess te RDF needs to be updated before I can enjoy my SB.

Regarding the current Slingbox [RV] RDF (I use the updated one, for player 2.04) - Does it use the old 6:6 variant or the newer 5:7?
What kind of change is needed to the RDF? am I correct to guess that my Thomson cable box uses the old, 6:6 split?

I do not have the 8811 anymore, since sadly it broke down. But I do have the upload bin file for this remote containing this upgrade only. I do have the RS-2117 remote, and I have the RMDU I built for the 2117 with the Thomson upgrade. I uploaded what I thought might be relevant to Diag section ...

yeah, one more thing - if you do it the way I suggested, the default path for RDF files should be BasePath\RDF. If users will put their RDF files there (as expected), everything will work out-of-the-box.

Is it possible to bundle ExtInstall with IR 5.03? You could create a folder Named RDF and put it in, so extracting IR into a folder would put IR in base path and create an RDF folder with ExtInstall inside. This might entice ppl to put their RDF there in the first place, too.
